This painting class is a great opportunity to try new things, new ideas, and further ones understanding of art in our lives. Because of various levels of experience there will be a lot of individual attention focusing on each persons goals.
Each class will begin with a demonstration using basic painting methods towards representational and abstracted designs. We will start at the beginning structural phase and build on to to a completed piece. Students will work on paper or canvas through out the session, and learn how to use a variety of materials using different techniques.
A field trip to a local museum or gallery will be included with the class (date to be determined at our first class).
All supplies are provided and include newsprint, heavy rag content paper, and canvas. Acrylic paints and medium ( good for collage), oil bar sticks, brushes, stencils, scrapers, etc.... a good chance to try new things without having to invest a fortune!
Also provided: a punch card so classes that are missed can be included in the next session.
Class size limited to 8 students.
