Tower Arts Studio

Tower Arts Studio is a unique artist studio and gallery located two blocks from the ferry dock on Guemes Island.

The main work room is a large open space fully-equipped with work tables, shelving and plenty of natural light and color with a cheerful and inspiring feel.

Sue Roberts creates her sculpture and functional ceramics in this studio. She also offers several ceramics classes for kids and adults, workshops and private lessons here.

Six Sessions

This six week session will focus on hand-building functional and sculptural projects using plaster forms and slab techniques. Demonstrations will include creating interesting surface decorations using textures, colorful stains, and making our own underglazes.

If you are interested in working on your own ideas but would like some technical and design guidance, we can accommodate your needs. Open to all levels.

Classes are held at Tower Arts Studio, 5424 South Shore Drive, a short block and a half walk up from the Guemes ferry dock on Guemes Island.

Cost: $300.00 plus tax and includes up to 12lbs of clay, use of studio tools, glazes, firings and Open Studio*.

Open to students who are enrolled in weekly classes at Tower Art Studio. This gives students the opportunity to work independently in the studio, without instruction on their projects after class time.

10:00am - 12:30pm

This 6 week session focuses on building functional and sculptural items for indoor and out. Students will create their own unique pieces using slab and coil built forms.
